Privacy Policy

Version 2.1

Effective date: November 9, 2025

We're giving our privacy policy a fresh update. Why the change? Because we’re rolling out powerful new tools with Lanefinder AI Agent Services — like automatic call notes and advanced driver reporting — to help carriers and drivers connect more easily. With these updates, we want you to know exactly how your information is collected, used, and protected.

This Privacy Policy explains how Lanefinder Holdings Inc. (“Lanefinder Holdings,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), including its subsidiaries and brands Lanefinder and YouCruit, collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our Services.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to all users of our Services — drivers, carriers, customers, and visitors — across the Lanefinder job board, AI Agent Services, and the YouCruit Applicant Tracking System (ATS). By using these Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Our Services are intended for users in the United States. You must have a U.S. phone number to create an account or use our AI Agent Services. Individuals outside the U.S. may visit public-facing portions of our site, and their information will be handled as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Name, email, phone number, login credentials, preferences.
  • Driver Information: Job history, qualifications, documents, application and verification data.
  • Carrier Information: Company name, job postings, communications.
  • Usage Data: Device identifiers, IP address, cookies, browser info, log data.
  • AI Agent Data: Call notes, automated communications, reporting insights, connection logs, and AI-generated analytics or summaries from reports.
  • Payment Data: Securely processed via third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card details.
  • Communications Data: Messages, call recordings (where applicable), logs of in-platform communications.

We may also create de-identified or aggregated data that does not reasonably identify you.

Sensitive Personal Information: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as race, religion, health, sexual orientation, or biometric data), except where necessary to provide the Services or as required by law. For example, we may collect government-issued identifiers (like a Social Security Number or Driver's License number) as part of the application and background check process required by law (e.g., for DOT-required forms). Our AI Agent Services (such as call notes) may also inadvertently capture sensitive information if you voluntarily disclose it. We do not use this sensitive information for advertising or to infer characteristics about you.

3. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you (e.g., when you apply for jobs or contact support)
  • Automatically via cookies and analytics
  • From third-party providers (e.g., background checks) or from Third-Party Integrations you connect to your account (e.g., HRIS, payroll, or calendar systems)
  • From social login providers (e.g., if you log in via Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn)

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can control cookies in your browser. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid request to opt out of data "Sharing" or "Sales" under applicable law.

We may also use email tracking pixels to monitor open rates and link clicks in our communications. You can disable image loading in your email client to block this.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide and manage our Services
  • Connect drivers and carriers
  • Deliver AI Agent features (e.g., call notes, AI-generated report summaries, and reporting insights)
  • Send job alerts and updates
  • Process payments and subscriptions
  • Respond to support requests and feedback
  • Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms
  • Improve user experience and personalize content
  • Monitor email effectiveness and app engagement
  • Develop new services and features, including training our AI models using aggregated and de-identified data.

We may also use your data for internal analytics and service development.

5. Sharing of Information

  • Drivers and Carriers: When facilitating job matches, messaging, or interviews.
  • Service Providers: Hosting, communications, analytics, and payment processing. They are contractually required to safeguard your data.
  • Third-Party Integrations: When you choose to connect a third-party service (such as an HRIS or payroll system) to your account, we will share your data with that service as directed by you. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these integrations, which are governed by their own policies.
  • Background Checks (Consumer Reporting Agency): We share information with service providers to conduct background checks as required by law (e.g., for DOT compliance). We exclusively use Foley as our agent for these services. You can learn more about Foley and their privacy practices at https://www.foley.io/about-us or by contacting them at 140 Huyshope Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106, phone (860) 633-2660.
  • Advertising and Marketing: We may use third-party partners (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Firebase) to serve or retarget ads based on your activity. These partners may collect data via cookies or similar tools. We do not sell your personal information for monetary compensation. However, our use of these advertising partners may be considered a "Sale" or "Sharing" of personal information under certain state privacy laws (like in California). You have the right to opt out of this activity as described in Section 6 and Section 12.
  • Legal & Compliance: When required by law or to respond to legal requests.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

A full list of advertising or analytics partners is available upon request.

6. Targeted Advertising and Tracking

We partner with advertising networks that may collect data to provide tailored ads on third-party websites. As noted above, this may constitute "sharing" or a "sale" under California law.

You can opt out of this targeted advertising ("Sharing" or "Sale") by:

  • Clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our website footer, or
  • Enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we recognize as a valid opt-out request.

Our advertising and tracking practices are supported by our cookie management system. When you first visit our site, you will be presented with a cookie banner that provides more information and allows you to manage your preferences. You can adjust your preferences at any time through our "Cookie Settings" link.

7. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as is reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide services
  • Comply with legal or tax obligations (such as FMCSA/DOT record-keeping requirements for driver applications)
  • Prevent fraud or enforce terms
  • Maintain service integrity

Some data may be retained in system backups or audit logs as allowed by law. Inactive account data may be retained for up to 10 years to comply with these legal and regulatory obligations or for fraud prevention, unless deletion is requested and permitted by law.

Your information is stored or processed in the United States where we or our service providers operate. If you are a visitor accessing our public site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion
  • Opt out of marketing or targeted ads (i.e., "Sale" or "Sharing")
  • Receive a copy of your data (portability)

You may access or modify your data by logging into your account. You may exercise your Right to Deletion by following the instructions on our Account Deletion page or by emailing [email protected] .

Account Deletion Process: When you request to delete your account, your profile will be deactivated immediately and will no longer be accessible. Your personal data is then scheduled for permanent deletion after a 7-day period, during which you can contact support to restore your account.

Limitations on Deletion: Please note that account deletion is final. We will delete or anonymize your personal data as requested, except for information we are required to retain to comply with legal or regulatory obligations (as described in Section 7), such as driver application records for DOT/FMCSA compliance, transaction data for tax purposes, or data needed to prevent fraud. This retained data will be securely stored and isolated from active use.

Other Rights: You may use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our website footer ( /#ch2-settings ) for advertising opt-outs. For all other requests, please email [email protected] . We may need to verify your identity before responding.

If you use an authorized agent, we may require:

  • Written permission from you, and
  • Identity confirmation from you via your account email

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days, as required by law. If you are in a state that provides an appeals process (such as Colorado, Connecticut, or Virginia) and you wish to appeal our decision on a request, please contact us at [email protected] .

9. Communications & Marketing Preferences

You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking "Unsubscribe" or contacting support. Service-related emails (e.g., account notices, legal updates) are required.

You may receive SMS or in-app messages if you opt in. Message/data rates may apply.

We may use push notifications, but you can turn these off at the device level.

10. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method is 100% secure, but we take data protection seriously. If you believe your credentials have been compromised, please contact us immediately.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to or intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

12. California and Other State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California, you have the rights outlined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to:

  • Know what personal data we collect and how we use it
  • Request deletion or correction (see Section 8 for details)
  • Opt out of data "Sale" or "Sharing" for targeted ads. You can exercise this right by clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our website footer (located at /#ch2-settings ) or by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We collect sensitive personal information (such as SSN or driver's license numbers) only for purposes permitted by law, such as performing services you request (like background checks), ensuring security, and complying with legal obligations (like DOT regulations). We do not use it to infer characteristics about you. Because we use your sensitive information only for these permitted purposes, we are not required to provide a "Limit" link. However, we provide you with granular controls to manage sharing of your sensitive data, as described in Section 13.

California "Shine the Light" Law: California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Other states (e.g., Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia) may grant similar rights. Contact us to exercise these.

You can designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf. We may request identity verification and written consent.

If you apply for jobs through Lanefinder:

  • We may share your info with carriers if you apply or opt in to job matching.
  • You can manage, update, or delete your data through your profile or by contacting us.

  • We may collect the invitee’s name, email, or phone number so we can send the invitation.
  • You should only provide contact details for individuals with whom you have a personal or professional relationship.
  • We use the information solely to send the invitation and track referral activity.
  • Invitees may opt out of future communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
